Fun Weekend!

Oh man!! So this weekend was so much fun!

Heritage days was a blast and if you don't know what that is...it is our town celebration and Crosby has been around now for 112 years! Sweet! :) Proud of my community!

I helped out with our lovely new royalty hand out hot dogs and greet our community!!

Haley, Miss Congeniality 2012 and I! Had fun avoiding our little dancing man lol! Love ya gal!

Allison, Heritage Day Princess 2012, and I! Hope you had a great Heritage weekend! Ur Awesome!

Bailey, Crosby-Ironton Princess 2012, and I! So Much fun judging with you!! Ur Sweet!

There was a fun Loon Calling Contest Bailey and I judged and amazing talent! The little guy that won sounded exactly like a loon! He was only NINE!! So deserved first place!

Now on to my 2012 Miss Northern Lakes Pageant ventures! I decided my talent is going to be a monologue thanks to my awesome brainerd pageant bud, Vicki, for suggesting a monologue she has for me! I was going to do a dance routine but when Vicki told me she had a monologue for me, I couldn't say no! 
Also I have added the brainerd royalty on Facebook! When I got a notification saying Heather, Miss Brainerd Lakes, accepted my request...I got a friend request at the same time from Maren, Miss Baxter! I love it! Then I got a message from Maren saying she is there for me if I have any questions or a gal to talk to! And boy do I!

I can't wait to really start practicing for this pageant! But until then I will be preparing my paperwork and such that is needed INCLUDING the $100 donation to Children's Miracle Network! AHHHHH! It is One Hour to pageant and I am so calm right now! I feel ready and I cannot wait to see how this will all turn out! I am so ready for this! I can't wait for the glitz and show what I have to offer to represent the community! So as I am getting ready to sparkle on stage...I am praying for the best and at around 9 pm or so You will know if I get crowned or not! I have a great feeling about this! It's all in God's hands! It's all Good! May God bless us as we are on stage and off! Keep our hopes high and keep them there no matter what happens! New Dreams, Challenge Yourself!

I truly think if you have dreams, please challenge yourself and not settle! I believe that is what I have been doing with pageants. No matter who or what brings me back in, at the end of another pageant I feel these same feelings. It's just not where God has me going in life. Let me paint you a picture of how it happened. It is the end of the pageant, it went by pretty quick and throughout the whole evening I felt off. I didn't feel as confident like I normally do with pageants. I tried my best as I possibly could. They handed out overall (throughout the 3 titles) individual awards. One miss contestant got two the other got one. There were three of us Miss Contestants. As we went up for the title I knew I wasn't gonna get it. The runner up was announced...not me. The title holder....not me. Shocker? No not at all! I've competed for 5 years....7 pageants (including this one) and I've always lost. I've won Miss Congeniality which is such an honor don't g...

Whole New Game...BLOG TIME!

Good Afternoon my amazing blog readers, I am so excited to be back with you! I've had some realizations while I haven't been blogging and haven't been competing. It's been a year since I last competed. During this year, I thought that my pageant life was over and I was no longer a pageant girl. In my own way, I am still a pageant girl! There is a difference to what a stereotypical pageant girl is and being your own type. I thought I was a stereotypical one at first, just following the crowd and blending in to the pageant flow. I realized I am way different than that. I may be going a little deep into it lol but I am my own type of a pageant girl. I love getting up on stage and chasing after a childhood dream. I love being able to make a difference on many levels. Also the opportunities that come along with pageantry are pretty amazing. I also was TERRIFIED I was going to change into someone I didn't like. I've seen it happen time and time again. Girls star...
